How it all began
Greg
Born and raised in Ohio, Greg is the only boy out of four siblings, which pretty much made him the family’s built-in protector (and occasional troublemaker). He’s a project manager with a love for fast cars, long road trips, and yes… the speeding tickets that tend to come with them. When winter hits, you’ll find him on the slopes trying to teach Ceci how to ski, a lesson that usually ends in laughter more than progress. At home, he’s a serious board game rival (Ceci still hasn’t won) and a caring partner who shows his love in the little everyday ways.
Ceci
A proud Mexican, Ceci is a software developer by day, but she’ll happily trade a keyboard for climbing shoes whenever Greg talks her into a bouldering session. She’s obsessed with her dog, Leia (yes, named after that Leia), loves wine tastings, and is always up for an adventure (except maybe skiing). She’s also training her way into becoming a runner, though she’ll admit some days the road wins. A true Star Wars fan at heart, Ceci fully embraces her role as the Jedi of the family - whether that means quoting Yoda, keeping the peace, or making sure Greg doesn’t turn to the Dark Side.

Believe it or not, it all started with a swipe—thank you, Hinge! Ceci and Greg had their first date at a local coffee shop on a Sunday morning, both coincidentally rocking white tops and jeans. They spent the day wandering around the neighborhood and ended up at Bookloft (which, naturally, became their favorite bookstore). The next day, they had their second date, and well, let’s just say there were no more first dates after that.
Leia, Ceci’s dog, quickly gave Greg her stamp of approval—maybe a little too enthusiastically! Now, Greg and Leia have their own little adventures and “walkies” without Ceci, which she's *definitely* not jealous about… at all.
From there, it’s been one adventure after another. Ceci, a proud Mexican, and Greg, a born-and-raised Ohioan, found they had plenty in common.
Their first trip together was to Chicago, a place that became extra special when Greg chose it as the spot to pop the question. He planned a surprise weekend trip (something he’s done before, so Ceci didn’t suspect a thing). Ceci had no idea where they were going—even when they were in line at airport security—until she found out it was Chicago!
In true Greg style, he made sure the day was perfect. They walked along the beach, took a stroll along the riverwalk, and as they hugged, looking out at the pier, Greg asked *the* question. And because all perfect proposals end with good food, they celebrated at their favorite Mexican restaurant in Chicago. Obviously, Tzuco.
They’re so excited to share this next adventure with you. Can’t wait to celebrate together!
